O-300A Engine Baffles

Does anyone have a pix of the very small baffle, Cessna p/n 0550117, that mounts via two valve cover screws and goes in between the cylinders?? It is a very small part, but I have been told just as important as the rest of the baffle parts. If anyone has any old ones that they are willing to part with, that could save me time, Airforms in AK wants $14 ea plus S+H from AK and I need all four, eve if I could borrow one for a pattern or someone take some measurements, that would work as well, but a couple of good pixs would do me fine and then I can fabricate my own.....thanks in advacne for any help you all may be on my inquiry....

When I overhauled my O-300 in 2006, I bought the whole baffle kit with hammertone powder coat from what is now Airforms, and never looked back. Here are a couple of crappy pictures cropped out of wider views of the engine assembly. Hope they help.

Here is a picture of a well used one. Also I believe they are only attached with one of the valve cover screws. If you attach them between the cylinders with two screws, they will break.

Here is a picture of a well used one. Also I believe they are only attached with one of the valve cover screws. If you attach them between the cylinders with two screws, they will break.

Thanks for the pic, I have seen three different birds and they were found to be both ways, one screw and two screw set ups

I had discovered several broken baffle parts, myself and my IA just made copy's from the others. It was fairly quick and a lot easier than I had expected. I think he ended up charging me like thirty bucks. One could make a paper template, and just transfer on the some aluminum with out to much difficulty.

Trouble is I do not have any of the req'd 4 installed on my engine, someone obviously removed them prior to my ownership and I 'have been told reently by a fellow C170 owner of 45+ years that they need to be installed for "proper cooling" to be achieved on the O-300........I may have someone locally that will allow me to remove one from his engine to make such a pattern.......
