Does anybody know what type of aluminium the struts are made of? Is there any repair scheme available .

There is nothing in the 100 series repair manual about repairing a strut.

But, they are the same as a 172 or 175 strut so replacement shouldn't be an issue.

Likely shipping to Ausie would be a body blow in itself. Corrosion or fretting on the end fitting?
