Rick Romans or Aircraft Specialties for cam/crank insp.?

Have any of y'all used RR or Aircraft Specialties? Sending my cam and crank off.

Aircraft Specialties for 2 engine builds. Good experience. No issues.

I have used Aircraft Specialties for years. Have never had a negative issue with them and they have found parts for me sometimes when I could find them no where else.

I sent my last crank to Aircraft Specialties. Half the paperwork said it was ground 3 under, but the other half said it was ground 6 under. I, of course, looked at the wrong half and ordered the wrong bearings. Thankfully I caught the discrepancy before it was too late. I called and verified it was 6 under. It was my fault, as the FAA forms did say 6 under, and that's official. However it was confusing.

That being said the work was good, service was timely, and communication good, just discrepant. Not sure if I'd use them again or not.

All my engine's steel parts were overhauled or inspected by Aircraft Specialties when I did my major. My mechanic has used them for many engines.

Romans called today and said there was too much corrosion on the backside of the prop flange. The death of an otherwise good crankshaft.
