F&M Oil Adapter ICA

Post by Mschwarzkopf »

Hi everybody, I'm new to the boards here, so please be nice! Bought my 170 last fall and just finished up an oil change this weekend. The F&M adapter was installed on my engine a couple of years ago. I've read most of the posts here regarding the adapter and have a few questions.

First, does anyone have a PDF of the complete ICA? The link on the F&M website only contains 2 out of 12 pages. How about Installation Procedures?

Last spring there was a lot of discussion about rotation of the adapter and damage to the fiber gasket. Is there any reason why the adapter isn't safetied to the case? Mine isn't, and it looks like it would be difficult to find a good spot to tie into.

Thanks for your help!
Mike

Mike,
I emailed Vince Bechtel, Director of Sales and Marketing at Tempest, regarding the missing pages for the ICA on the filter adapter. Surprisingly, he did not have the additional pages. He did forward the installation instructions however.
