Putting this 170B back together is harder than I thought. Get caught up on the simplest tasks. Parts manual shows something will take a bolt and nut, then I go looking for this said bolt and nut. Just looking for a bit of guidance on putting this back together. You guys just start with a big bag of nuts and bolts or start with all brand new hardware?
About ready to attach the horizontal, vertical etc.

Re: hardware question
I'll be going thru this in a few years:)
My plan is to buy new hardware.
I think it will be a time and stress saver instead of trying to rummage thru old bolts to find the right one.
This is where a digital copy of the parts catalog (not just an image scan PDF) would be nice.
I could write a simple script to come up with shopping lists for each assembly.
Instead, I need to hand type all the numbers :/

I took my PDF copy and ran it through the OCR software at work. So now it's text searchable. Would that help?bagarre wrote:This is where a digital copy of the parts catalog (not just an image scan PDF) would be nice.

Re: hardware question
If you have a full version off Acrobat, you can make the PDF searchable by having it read the file (OCR). I've done this for all my IPCs. It's pretty good but not perfect.
