I started the TCM IO-360 installation in my 170A in June of 2014. My first post about it in the International Cessna 170 Association forums was on my birthday in June of that year. It is funny that I had not noted that when I did. What is interesting to me is that the views of those forum posts has just gone over the 100,000 mark and as of this morning sits at 100,494 views. A lot of people contributed comments and photos to those posts so I am in no way completely responsible for the content of those forum contributions. I am curious what all of the people that are looking at it are using the posts for? Entertainment, wondering how I could be so Crazy, Perhaps the NTSB is spying on on me or some other thing like people doing the installation?
More than that I wish I had a dollar for every view. I could afford to do something really interesting. Like retire early.
It really does fly nice and I have no 180 envy anymore. The fuel economy is great and it carries everything I need to do what I want to do.
And it allowed me to have phone conversations with Blue Leader.
Merry Christmas and Please have a Happy New Year
Regards,
Jim

TCM IO-360 posts
A&P, IA, New owner C170A N1208D, Have rebuilt some 50 aircraft. So many airplanes, So little time!
Re: TCM IO-360 posts
I review that thread quite frequently as a refresher read on my own 360 conversion
As you said, it's a wealth of information and photos.
Sometimes I read it just to build enthusiasm for my project. It's nice to see how others have done it before me.

Jim it's a great thread. I've enjoyed it and I'm nowhere close to doing a conversion. A wealth of information is almost an understatement. Thanks for the effort on it. And of course Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well.

Re: TCM IO-360 posts
Jim, I am guilty of looking at it frequently as well. I am in the process of converting 13D with a G model IO-360. I have everything for it. Incredibly useful as I wish I could document as well as you do. Thanks for your hard work. Doug

I deliberately avoid reviewing that thread. It saves me money and allows me to empathize with Jamie in living with disappointment in low performance.
