Re: Not Bad For A Navy Guy
I'm pretty sure I'd roll an F16 into a ball, given the chance.
I've got a bit of simulator time on various models in a former job, most of the big stuff is easy to launch, but my landings were hydraulic line splitters at best.
I think I used up more runway distance going back and forth from one side of the runway to the other than linear runway distance on my first tailwheel T.O. in a Cessna 120. Guess regardless of the plane it's good training then just plain practice to refine the skill.

Couldn't agree more! Fighter time is no indication any tailwheel prowess. I'm enjoying the journey though. Will let you know if I am able to find my 170. Have really enjoyed the wealth of information on the forum.

Don't give up, your plane is out there somewhere, all you have to do is find it. Lots of guys look at many planes before they find the right one.
Good luck in your search.

Jar Head is Right! I own a black highlighter, don't know who my parents are and have one more brain cell than a mule...

Marines, the black highlighter is for night ops. All Army Aviators know this.

Just waned to say welcome to a fellow NASAL AVIATOR! I earned my gold wings 46 years ago. I to have just purchased a C170B after flying the same 140 I soloed in 54 years ago! Had to get a wide body since flying a wide body has taken its toll!
