Pork Chops

Post by N2830C »

Im planning, at some point, putting my 170 on floats. I will probably use the edo 2000s. A friend of mine offered me a set of pork chops he has laying around that fit 180/185s. Will these work with the EDO 2000 on my 170?

Thanks for your help.

I don't think so, but call Kenmore.

No they will not. They are too thick first of all and won't fit into the struts of 2000's. Secondly, they terminate at the wrong angle because 2870's and 2960's have a wider stance. You could use them for trading stock with someone like Ed Peck.

Typically they will come with the floats you buy. If you buy floats that aren't rigged for a 170 you will be out a lot of money and frustration trying to convert them. They even have shorter spreader bars than those on a Super Cub.

A friend is interested in stepping up to new floats so we might have a set of 89-2000's coming up for sale soon.

Thanks for the help Kelly. I thought that might be the case and just wanted the answer from people who knew.
