Karl and Nancy Towle are inviting members and guests to our fly-in, March 20, 2021, at the Bar VK Air Ranch (TX32: http://www.airnav.com/airport/TX32) in north Texas. We're 10 miles north of Denton, with 2900 ft of nice turf runway.
We'll meet at Karl and Nancy's home at 11:00 am, to shuttle about 6 miles into Sanger for lunch at Babe's Chicken Dinner House: https://www.babeschicken.com/our-kitchens/sanger/, then rendezvous back at Bar VK for socializing after lunch.
We need to provide detailed maps for driving, flying in, and parking. So, if you are going to try to come, please download the .PDF file here: https://app.box.com/s/flezeixz44w0xiio91eumj3aqix501sb for the information you will need. Due to the possibility of a soggy runway, if we need to invoke our inclement weather plan, we will announce it in the "Runway NOTAM" at the link provided in the above file the day before our fly-in. Pray for sunny weather during the week prior, and we look forward to seeing everyone here.
Note: If you have difficulty with the links, cut and paste them into your browser address window. Any questions/suggestions please contact Karl at karljiml@gmail.com

I was all set to come to the fly in today, but yesterday evening I received an offer to take my multi commercial checkride. It’s today at 1pm, so I will see you guys next month instead. Hopefully with a new rating in my pocket.

Blessed with spectacularly perfect weather, nine aircraft descended into the Bar VK Air Ranch and parked in our back yard for a fantastic fly-in today (A 10th arrived, sadly, after we'd left for the restaurant.) In all, 24 of us enjoyed the great cuisine at Babe's Chicken House restaurant in Sanger. Thanks to everyone for helping make this one to remember. Pictures follow:
