Anyone know what the 170b airbox is made from? 4130? Mild steel? Galvanized? Mix dependent on component?
Appreciate it if someone has experience on this. Need to do a small weld repair.
Thanks!

Mild steel, I don’t see a need for 4130 on the box. Galvanized metal would produce dangerous gas in the event of a fire. I’ve brazed on box components (lower heat that helps minimize warping the metal) in the past with good results.
