Elevator Torque Tubes for a 170B

Post by Matt767F »

Hey all,

I posted on the trademart as well, but unwanted to put it out to the brain trust…

My Annual has just gotten more expensive as I’ve got rusted elevator torque tubes and they don’t seem to be available as new parts. I’m particularly looking for a right side one. The left is serviceable for now. I’ve called a bunch of the big shops around, but wondering if anyone might have an idea of a good place to look. So much for quick in and out of the shop!

Totally feel your pain — parts like that always show up at the worst time. You might try reaching out to salvage yards if you haven’t already. Places like Dodson or White Industries sometimes have what you need even if it’s not listed online. Also, posting in type-specific Facebook groups can get surprisingly quick leads from other owners parting out 170s.
