Bartone Exhaust

Post by djbaker »

Both AR Dave and myself are trying to get 337s for the Bartone Exhaust. If any members have a signed off form 337, a copy would be very helpful to us. Even very old ones are fine. If you can help send Dave or I a message.

Also we are emailing information back and forth while gathering data for this package. Anyone who might be getting the Bartones in the future or just want to be in the loop, send your email address.
Thanks, Mr Wildharber!

Farnold wrote:Thanks for the response everyone. I've been having some problems with the stock exhaust rubbing up against the exhaust pipe cowling opening. This is what has prompted the thought of the Bartone system. BTW at OSH I saw a 170 with rubber like ring seals around the exhaust pipes. The owner's thoughts were that this was the original setup to help seal the air flow in the cowling. Will the Bartone system installation interfere with my installed El Reno oil filter unit that hangs down in this general vicinity?

This was an older posting but....there were never any "rubber rings" to seal the fangs. There was a sheet-metal adjustable baffle that reduced the opening somewhat and is illustrated in the later IPC's, but never a rubber ring that I know of.

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)
