Wing covering

Post by n3833v »

:? I need to recover my 48 and now have Ceconite on them. Is this the best for endurance and if so, how much of the dope materials do I need to do both wings? I know Aircraft Spruce has the presewn envelopes. Is this the way to go?

John If you get the procedure manual 101 that ceconite sells for $6.00 there is a table in the back which tells you how much they they feel you should need of the various dopes and thiners. The manual also gives you the proper procedue for covering the wing so that you can legally use their STC. Bill K.

John, you could also us Polyfiber and their system which is probably the way I'd go if you where buying all the material and starting fresh. I'm sure there is plenty of opinions and help at Farmers Pride. Go with what ever system your experianced help has used.
