Dashboard Visor
I have a ragwing and during night flight the panel lights reflect off the windshield. Any suggestions on an extending the top of the dashboard to create a visor for the instrument lights.

Do you have the stock trim panel?

If fitted properly it shouldnt cast light on to the windscreen.

Cockpit light glare
Is the light reflecting on the windshield coming through the gap between the shock-mounted panel and its cover? If so, one could lay a bead of RTV along the inside top of the cover to form a seal. Put Saran Wrap over the top of the instrument panel to protect it. After the RTV "skins" but before it is completely dry install the cover over the instrument panel/Saran Wrap and let it cure.

Well, if you affix the streamer to the waist-band, perhaps it'll blend in well with the grass, and won't be so noticeable. Or you could just remove the skirt and be done with it?mrpibb wrote:That was installed to protect the compass from sunlight, Right?
