Seat Track AD

Post by cfiatzph »

Can anyone give me the language for the seat track AD? The only reoccuring my A/C has is the seat tracks but they were changed 350 hrs ago. I believe if you install new seat tracks you can go to 1000 hours then every 100 hours for the AD note. Am I correct? He signed off on it anyways.

Thanks

The new parts go to 1000 all the other parts still need to be inspected. So yes it is still due.

The way I have alwayse read this AD is that the 1000 hrs means nothing after the A/C reaches 1000 hrs. The recurring part of the AD not only includes the rails, but the seat rollers, tangs, and stop pins. The recurring part has to be met every 100 hrs (for A/C for hire) or annualy for owner flown aircraft. Mabe we are saying the same thing just diffrently. 8O

Nope All NEW PARTS get another 1000 hrs. But whats the point I'm going to be looking at them anyway.

(d) Any parts replaced per this AD are exempt from the inspections required herein until such parts have attained 1,000 hours TIS.

Tim,
I see your point! I guess I have never seen any one replace all parts at the same time. So to me the recurring part of the AD has to be met. Just the way I have alwayse viewed it! Like you it dosn't matter about the finer points I'm going to look for cracks, flat spots and wore parts in the new parts anyway
