Seat Spring Retainer Clips

Post by Bryce »

Hello
On our 172D the passenger seat spring retainer clips have failed, one snapped and one straightened out .

Does anyone know a supplier for these clips ?

I have a picture of the component which I could email as I haven't got a web server available to link to this message.

Many Thanks
Bryce

These are common upholstery-shop items.

Not sure but if your are talking about a clip that looks like a nail bent in a circle with points at each end, they are called Hog Rings and they and the tool to install them can be had at many plan old hardware stores.

Bryce email me the pic and I'll post it for you and confirm if it is a Hog Ring your looking for.

If your talking about the little metal clips that hold the springs to the seat frame, I have two seats worth of springs and clips. If you can't find the clips, I could pull a few and throw them in an envelope. PM me if needed.
