I dont get it either, but he is a really nice, normal guy. He keeps some of his aircraft with us during the summers when he is not making movies. Were a small airport here and no body bothers him.

Yes, I've not met him but he also trains in our simulators at SimuFlite-DFW. (Sooner or later most folks train either with either us or the competition such as FS, or one of the smaller ones. The insurance business has gotten so they won't insure anyone in anything bigger than a light twin unless they have some kind of simulator/FTD training.)

I read somewhere that he was having lunch with Jimmy Buffet and sort of did the ear ring on a whim. Pretty tame middle age crisis, it could have been worse... there are a lot of body parts people seem to like to get pierced these days! :?

I dont get the tattoo thing either. We have a girl that just started in our airport restaurant who is really pretty, but shes got this huge tattoo on her left arm. I know she is going to regret it one of these days. it looks terrible.

Another tidbit on tattoos. In Indonesia under the rule of Suharto they were having problems with a crime wave in Jakarta. The story goes that they sent out hit men that would walk up next to someone in the crowd that had tattoos, stick a gun in his ribs and pull the trigger. The reasoning being that ex-cons had tattoos and were probably involved in crime. Especially crime not sanctioned but Suharto that is. Crime rate went down, migration of tattooed people to different islands went way up, problem solved asian style. 8O

My wife is an OB/GYN, she has seen all sorts of tatoos in all sorts of places! 8O Her partner likes to tell the story of the girl that came in for a checkup... she had a stick figure pushing a lawnmower just below her bikini line... hmm!

We were renting a Blanik glider at Driggs several years ago and Mr. Ford came over and helped us push it out. He was just learning how to fly then and we watched him make a rather "exciting" landing in his C206 he was learning to fly in. Very nice guy.

Umm...who cares if he has an earring? Or a tattoo? The guy has a DHC-2 and a Husky and occasionally flies helicopters for SAR. He could have a pink mumu on for all I care...he will always be Han Solo and Indiana Jones and a fellow pilot.

What else can we make fun of next? Maybe some Texans...

I have to agree on that one! Regardless to who he is or what he has, who's to judge???
I might be bias, but I've ALWAYS enjoyed his acting!!!

Now Rosie is another issue...

Zane...There's something about how you interpret the written word. I never made fun of Harrison Ford. The Navy, perhaps. But not Ford.

Make fun of Texans? Go ahead. We're used to it. We can take it.
