Wheel penetration Tail Ski

Post by Paul-WI »

This fall I want to put on a wheel penetration tail ski. I have a set of Schneider Wheel penetration skis on the front now but nothing on the tail. Any recommendations or past experiences?

Burl's Tailwheel ski

Here is the link. http://www.burlac.com/ I installed one last year and did landings on lakes where the snow was pretty settled. Performance is fine. As with many penetration TW skis there is a chance of a shimmy. I get a shimmy after touchdown and my speed bleeds a little. This only happens on asphalt. I have not had it happen on gravel or the ski strip. All paper work comes with the purchase. I think I paid 600.00 last year for one. Good Luck.
