Ragwing Covering Question

Post by N2520V »

Anyone with a ragwing out there - Do the formers on the top of your fuel tanks have fabric clips in both rows of holes or just one? I've been told that the double row of clips is due to the propeller slipstream, but my wings did not have clips in both when the old covering was removed. Any help appreicated.

Thanks.

Wing Clips

Post by N2540V »

I have not covered my wings yet.
When I ripped the old covering off, I only had a single row of clips on the double row.

Darn - that would have been handy a few years ago when I recovered my wings. There were clips in both rows when we took the covering off, so we put clips in both rows when it went back on. I guess no harm with more....

Tank Felt Adhesives

Post by N2540V »

48 Ragwing Fans,

In the wing bays for the fuel tanks. What adhesive should be used to glue in the wool felt?

I used the famed "tiger snot" weatherstripping adhesive from 3M. Seems to work ok.
