Carburetor heat Control Part Number??

Carburetor heat Control Part Number??
Checking on the conditions of the Carb Heat System on my C-145-2 engine, notice that the carburetor heat control (the wire) was almost about to break and would really like to find a replacement.
Do you have any idea what Part Number could that Carb heat control could be? (not refering to the box, but to the control wire that goes from the panel to the carb box)
Would really appreciate any info.

The part number is 0411090-4. You really should pick up an Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC). It answers these sorts of questions and is invaluable in giving you insight into how things go together on the 170.
The controls are available from most supply houses however they won't look "exactly" like the original, but they will fit and work.

Funny,,, I do have the parts catalog
, but using those part numbers on aircraft spruce or chief aircraft wasn't any good.
I also tried this page using the part number from the catalog and no luck either.

I know, I know,, I deserve a lol for me. So, please don't be too rough on the comments. I can only say on my defense that it is my first year whit the first plane I ever had. And chose a C-170a as my first plane, atleast I did something right at the end...

I installed one of these sleeves from Dynamic Propeller on the carb heat cable of a friend's C-172. It helps reduce the wear of the cable where it exits the cable housing.

You need the A730 series of control.... you can get it with either red or black knob. You can slide the knob and wire out of the new sheath (outer cable housing) and insert it into your existing housing to make the installation very simple. Then just cut the wire to the length you desire.

The Spruce A-730 George refers to is $24.50.
I bought the A-740 for my carb heat for $24.50. It has a rachet stop which prevents the control from slipping from vibration. I have found that to be advantageous but the whole control would have to be replaced, not just the knob and wire.

An aftermarket choke cable (owner-specified of course
) will work. Just make sure you specifiy the same diameter inner wire as the original control.
If you're having problems with the carb heat control staying where you put it, use a small triangular cross-section file and sharpen up the detents on the heat box. You may also have to adjust the pawl on the lever.
