Wire size

What wire size is needed to rewire the nav lights, Ldg lights, pitot, this is a 12V 50's vintage cessna.

JB, These are listed in the parts manual.(hint, hint). :wink:
But to answer your question the nav lights are #18 and the landing lights are #14. As far as the pitot (I assume you are talking pitot heater?) it is not listed as the 170 didn't come with pitot heat. You may have to look at what is used in a 172 or refer to your 337 form used for approval to install this.

If you know the circuit breaker or fuse size, consult TABLE 11-3. DC wire and circuit protector chart in Chapter 11 of AC 43.13-1B. The entire AC 43.13-1B can be downloaded here.
