Baffles

Post by Kyle »

Just ordered some new baffle parts from Airframes (Now named Airform Inc.) Parts are for my Pressure box cowl:

Baffle Assembley Crankcase Top - 0550114
Baffle Assembley - Rear 0550121

They are in stock parts and shipped tomorrow should be here by Saturday. I'll let you know how they are.

Regards to all

Jim,

Try http://www.supercubs.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=42 Although not on the web site, they have the earlier 170 Pressure Box type baffles in stock. Really nice people and very helpful.

Hope this helps

I ordered the full set with the gray powder coat. The only issue was that I had to slightly elongate the holes in the sump baffle whre it attaches under the intake manifold screw. The seals are a very tight fit and make the cowl a bit harder to install, but the tight fit is what we're after. Airframes, Inc. was very pleasant to do business with, and I'm very happy with the results. BTW, supercubs.com and Airframes, Inc. are the same folks.

Well the Baffles came and true to their word the craftsmanship was excellent. They are bare aluminum so we primed and painted the new baffles and ALL the other pieces as well. I will let you all know how the installation goes...
