federal C3000 wheel skis

Post by rod907 »

does anybody know what the largest size tire a person can run with federal C3000? i was wondering if i could get away with running 8.50s or would it interfere with the skis operation? i have been told that only 6.00 will work. i really dont want to go with that small of a tire. any help or suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

I have Federal 2500's and use a 6.00. I see no problem with them in Alaska. I can't go any larger than that. What are your concerns with 6's? In about two weeks I will take them off and put some Gar-Aero's on for the summer.

Don't know about the 3000s, but the old AWB 2500s handle the 850x6 tires fine if the skis are aligned properly. Some years ago saw a C170B with AWB 2500s and Gar Aero 850x10 tires. Don't know if any mods were required but appeared to have plenty clearance.
