Look at the 170-B IPC, pages 86/87, Fig 50, item 16, PN 0450283, extension, Starter Arm.
(When all else fails.... look at the Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) for your aircraft.)

Re: Extension for pull starter arm
Thanks for the tip on the part George....I looked in my parts manual but it doen't show the arm....but then again mine is a 170A and I guess they don't use it......probably was added in later years to help with complains with hard to pull starters

Re: Extension for pull starter arm
You didn't say in your original post which model aircraft you had so I took the most likely guess (lots more B's than A's or Straights).
Look on pages 70/71 of the A-model IPC, Fig 38, item 18. (Tough to recognize unless you read the description on page 71.)
For you Straight 170 guys, it's Fig 34, item 16 (pages 62/63).
Same PN 0450283 for all models. Cessna List Price: $ 338.00 How many do you want?
(Make your own out of steel tubing, pounded flat, cut, file, and drill.)
