On page 34,fig 18.Bracket #51(0710104)serial # 26996 and up.Anybody know what this bracket does. Its not used on the 52.While I am in the area is it worth installing.Does it have anything to do with the speaker mount?

Could it be that this bracket is for the front mount of the instrument light shield assembly? My 170B has an earlier s/n. It has the dome light which simply attaches to the top skin.

The speaker was optional equipment on serial 26996 and up. It may have merely helped stiffen the headliner retainers. It's not necessary if you have a speaker installation.
