Combination oil temp and press gauge

Post by Forrest Walton »

When our plane was rebuilt, a combination oil temp and press gauge was installed. The temp part has failed. I am looking for a suitable replacement.

The face has US Gauge 19848 on it. It is a 31/8 " size.

Has anyone used one like this? Any ideas for the best source for replacement?

Thanks!

Forrest,
You could call Keystone Instruments, in Lock Haven, PA. They recondition all kinds of instruments, and also sell some original replacements. http://www.keystoneinstruments.com/gauges.htm. Their reputation is excellent, and I have done business with them. (They rebuilt the combination gauge on my J3.)

You're welcome. But you might still call Keystone. They overhaul these probably cheaper than a new one would cost.
