Aluminum Wheel Pants

Post by N4064V »

I was wondering if there would be any interest in talking to Cessna about another run of alum. wheel pants. I have kicked myself a thousand times for not ordering a set a few years back when the 170 assn set up an order. If anyone is interested please let me know. Or if you have any info on how the deal was done last time. If i remember right they were around $400. If you got one of the sets did they fit OK . Thanks!

I would definitely be interested, assuming the price was not TOO outrageous.

One of the new-production sets were installed on mine before I owned it. They fit perfectly, and look great. But I thought the price was $1400. No?

Give your heads a shake , whom of use out there doesn't have an intake scoop free from cracks? Its a mere 2400 ,Nose bowls ditto, I'm sure if we ordered in bulk they would give us 10% off. Just wish Univair or the like would produce C170 parts in volume .

Found this string on the 120/140 Assn. website. Maybe some of the 120/140 owners would have an interest in this. Could bring the quantity up and cost down. Check out the string below for some info on the last 170 Assn. wheel pants purchase.

N4064V has it right, it WAS $400, but that was in the 1980's. I know, because I'm one of the idiots that didn't take advantage of the deal... :x

Cessna brought out the original dies for that production run, so I'm not surprised they fit as well as the originals.
