I thought I'd start a thread where people could put photos and descriptions of instrument panels. I put "photos here" in the subject line so those who don't want to look at it don't have to. I'll start off with mine that I have been working on for the last few months along with the Lycoming conversion. I still need to put on the placards and labels so I'll give you the following description.
The control yokes are also painted light tan (which is N8018A's outside base color, the trim colors being the dark brown and a little international orange striping for highlight). The pilots yoke has a custom molded in PTT switch. Of course the upper panel has been modified along with the overlay. It's a very tight fit to do this layout. The big area to the left of the copilots yoke is for plackards and the portable GPS, with the aux power socket nearby. The hole next to the aux power is for the GPS mount. The master switch now has the start position for the Lycoming. Other Lycoming driven instruments are the vacum gauge, manifold/fuel pressure gauge, and new markings on the oil temp, pressure, and CHT instruments. I had the tach set to the aircraft total time as was the old tack so logbook calculations would be easier. There is a radio master switch just to the right of the pilots yoke. The radio stack is a KX125, KX145 that drives the VOR indicator, and a Collins TDR950 transponder. that is encoded. All circuit breakers are Klixon push on pull off type. The brown knob between the mixture and prop controls is for the electric fuel pump. The other brown knobs from left to right are carb heat, primer, Javelin aux tank pump, and cabin heat. The Javelin fuel gauge is just below the clock. There is a breaker for the Javelin system next to the transfer pump switch so that if the tank is temporarily removed the electrical system can be shut off by pulling the breaker. The rocker switches left to right are master, turn&bank, strobes, nav lights, instrument lights, taxi and landing lights. The upper left 2 1/4 inch gauge is the PS Engineering PMA4000 audio panel and intercom that I put in last Spring. I love it! It has an audio in socket next to the copilots mike audio jacks on the lower right and a speaker mute switch next to the pilots mike audio jacks on the left lower panel. There is an extra mike jack on each side for the PTT switches and 3rd and 4th seat intercom jacks in the rear under the baggage shelf. The instrument next to the audio panel is my Electronics International UBG-16 ultimate bar graph. It monitors all four EGTs and CHTs as well as oil pressure, oil temp, volts, amps (before the bus), carb temp, OAT, and has an electronic tach readout. All of these functions are setup with parameters that if they are beyond then the red LED next to the altimeter flashes. There is a small knob just below and to the right of the copilots yoke that is a dimmer for the UBG instrument. I'm looking forward to flying it soon.
Somehow this post is too big to fit my screen. I've seen some before that way and don't know what causes it or how to fix it. If someone could help me out with it I'd appreciate it. Also let me know how to delete the post as I can't seem to find that function in the edit page. That way I can get rid of this once I fix the original post. Thanks

There should be a "Delete this message" checkbox near the bottom of the edit page.
I have found that some versions of IEexplorer and some of Netscape won't display photos posted here very well. It may be the format of the BBS or some kind of protocol on my phone line. I am now using Netscape 7.02 and it does a good job with MS WindowsME. Don't delete it unless you just feel you have to.
Re your panel. It looks similar to mine. I had two Narco navs, a 121 and a 122 above the com radio and switching panel with a row of C/Bs just below.

Thanks, maybe it's just this topic on my screen. The other topics fit the screen as usual. I cannot find any check box to delete the original post or any of my subsequent posts here on this topic. I think it's easier to rebuild an airplane than it is to figure these computer things out.
I'd like to see some other instrument panels posted here.
