Now I like the sound of that..... And, thanks to the glamorous airline lifestyle, I get to spend Thanksgiving day in a hotel next to DFW airport. Think I'll spend the afternoon looking for some of that Cholula Chili Garlic sauce. Happy Thanksgiving to all.... Keithcanav8 wrote: Cholula Chili Garlic. I found it only available in Ft. Worth, TX

Hey KG! I'm AT DFW right now and am going home tomorrow for Thanksgiving. How can I reach you? You need to join us for turkey! Call Simuflite 972-456-8000 and ask the operator to forward you to my cell phone.

Re: WINTER KIT FOR 170B COWLING
Thanks George!
That is a generous offer but I wouldn't want to barge in on your family time. I'll also have an FO with me who I would hate to abandon for the day. I get long layovers at DFW sometimes though so I'll take a raincheck and meet you for dinner sometime. Working on Thanksgiving isn't as bad as it sounds... my family doesn't do much since my Grandmother passed away several years ago. The biggest problem is finding a restaurant open. Again, I'll take a raincheck and keep you posted the next time I get a long layover (and it's not a holiday)......
Thanks again! Keith

From DFW, take hwy 183 west about two miles, Central Ave. exit (immediately west of intersection with hwy 121) and go to the next traffic light, turn left beneath the overpass to Luby's cafeteria. Open on T-day, and all -you-can-eat buffet for about $10.KG wrote:.... The biggest problem is finding a restaurant open. IHOP is also about a mile on the way back to DFW on the south access road to hwy 183.
At the NW corner of DFW (INtersection of hwy 121 and Wm.Tate Ave) is "Bone DAddy's", a good BBQ joint with beer, sports-TV, and waitresses that are the reason Hooters is going out of business. (Don't sit at a table, sit in a booth, so you won't have to put up with them sitting with you and chatting your ears off.) heh-heh (They do offer a good sliced beef BBQ sandwich.)

KG, if you are familiar with the Admiral, if you happen to work for the same Airline I do and go west on that street about 4 blocks there is a grocery store on the right side, Kroger I believe. Right in there. Doug

Now that's funny. I see all those young ladies walking around the airport wearing pilot suits, but I never get to fly with them. I think they are put there by airline management to keep us old guys showing up for our trips. So far it's working.
To get back on the topic of winterizing..... Wouldn't you get more heat from a can that once held jalapenos rather than tomato paste?

My Mom's brother-in-law, My Uncle Pete ran a Mexican railroad gang on the Santa Fe RR in northern AZ. and my Aunt ran the boarding house for the crews. Her culinary skills really showed best in her Mescan cooking. I remember Uncle Pete telling my Dad "George we will have to "crap" in the creek tomorrow to keep from settin' the brush on fire"!*Ogopogo Butt Burner hot sauce was picked up during our visit to the Kelowna B.C. convention. I'm always a fan of local hot sauces and this is another excellent product of the high-quality fruits and vegetables of the region. One of the primary attributes of this sauce is a sweet but peppery flavor with just enough heat and a good, long (but mild) burn that stucks with you throughout your meal. I haven't experienced the ramifications of consuming this sauce as the label implied --------------, despite the ominous warnings, it's actually mild enough to be enjoyed by most anyone -------- ? ? ?.
