I am doing a top overhaul on my C-170B (O-300D) engine. While I am at it, I would like to replace the engine baffles. I am aware of two sources for a complete enging baffle kit. One is AIRFORMS in Alaska and the other is HIGH PERFORMANCE AIR PARTS in Minnesota. Does anyone have any exerience with either of these and which is the better quality - if any?
Thanks,
CarlW

Re: Engine Baffles
I bought a complete set from the Alaska outfit. They are a good company to do business with.

Re: Engine Baffles
Same here. They have good fit and finish, and come with seals already installed. The only issue I recall was that I had to slightly elongate the holes in the oil sump baffle where it attaches under the manifold attach screws. I paid extra to get the powdercoat finish, but I'm not sure I'd do it again.mit wrote:I have bought from what was Alaska Airframes good stuff. Good fit.
