oil screen fitting

Post by Joe Moilanen »

I'm looking for the fitting that screws into the oil screen that accepts the oil temp probe. Anyone know where to get one?

TIA

Here's the link to order a Rochester adaptor nut:

Be aware that Scott changed the design of their adaptor and has caused leaks. They have issued two different types, and you must look carefully inside the adapator to determine which you have. One has a flat interior sealing surface, and the other has a conical surface. You may not mix the flat probe with the conical adaptor...or vice-versa without suffering a constant leak.

David Neal of the Int'l Cessna 120/140 Association wrote a fine article detailing the issues.

To obtain the service letter SIL-77-01 from Scott:
Scott Aviation
225 Erie St.
Lancaster, NY 14066-9502

716-683-5100

You might also call Spruce, as it is said they can provide the correct adaptor.

Thanks George - I think you just solved my mysterious oil leak for me.
