Hello,
Planning on replacing my mixture (ACS 740) and throttle cable (ACS 05-13800) this week. I know the throttle cable is 4' length. Does anyone know the length of the mixture cable? I'm guessing about 5 feet. I would like to have the replacement in hand before the plane is taken out of service.

The actual length of the various engine-control cables vary with each airplane accoring to:
1-Serial Number, 2- modification status. In other words.... just because YOUR airplane may be in original condition with no modifications to the control...doesn't mean that another person who measures THEIR control will have one of similar length..... because THEIR airplane may be modified or of a different serial. The mixture controls were relocated in the panel at various points of construction and many airplanes have subsequently been modified with custom panels, etc.
It's best to measure YOUR EXISTING control-cable if you wish to replace it. (Keep in mind the specific routing of your control-cable as well. Many times 50-years of different mechanics have re-routed the controls without regard to originality or correctness or conflict with other equipment, chafeing, etc..)

Thanks for the tip. I should have been more specific. It's a 1950 A model with a C-145-2 and the original mixture cable.
