Anyone know what we should torque the bottom 6 bolts (5/16 x 1 3/8) of the Accessory Cover to? I looked through the overhaul manual but couldn't find a recommended setting.
Thanks

If you go to the following link, it is a TCM .pdf document that has all the torque limits.

It's a shame thoy don't specifically list the "Nut: cover to crankcase" but reading thru the document leads one to believer 100-125 in. lbs.
Notice that on pg 32 of the Ovhl Manual the instructions in para: 7 & 8, which have you install the cover and tighten the nuts...then to install the sump and tighten the sump nuts from front to back...and RELAX the cover nuts while the sump rear nuts are tightened. They don't tell you, but of course, after the sump is completely tightened, the cover nuts should be re-tightened.

Re: Accessory cover bolts torque setting
Thanks for the information! I'm getting an oil leak on the bolt that also holds the throttle cable and am going to remove and clean it and put some sealer in to see if it stops the leak.
Thanks for the link to the TCM document and suggested torque for the bolts though like you said they reference the nuts torque limits not the bolts.
