I'm in the process of doing paint and interior. I've got the airplane all apart up front and I want to chase down some items that have bugged me since I got the airplane. First, the oil temp probe fitting is all rounded off, forcing me to use vise grips to loosen it. Anybody have a good rec. on where to get a new one. I'm assuming that it is a one piece unit including the gauge. Also, anybody changed their throttle cable lately, I'm not really sure where to go for that either. Airplane is a '53, basically original.
thanks

Re: Oil Temp Gauge
Yea your right it is a one piece fitting( the oil temp probe)...What I have done in the past is grind the 5/8 nut down to 9/16...I always use a "brake wrench" to loosen that nut. As for the throttle, Spruce has the right one......BradN3092A wrote:I'm in the process of doing paint and interior.
