I know two guys that are in the business of recovering crashed airplanes for the insurance companies. They both tell me they have never seen a broken Cessna axle on a crashed airplane. They are NOT in the area where Skis are used.
Some years ago up at Johnson Creek, I saw a tailwheeled C-182 have a wheel tear off the left side on landing, but it was a failure of the steel landing gear leg across the top two axle bolt holes. The stock axle was OK.

First of all the prop arrived in good shape thanks again. I have a set of steel axles in the hangar. I would make you a good deal on, but I won't be back in the country till the 17 th of December.
