No need for any field approval as the box comes with the STC.
Well, that is partly correct. The STC is only for C-170, 180, and 185 and did not exist when I had mine installed.

The Concorde no longer requires STC/337 since it's now PMA'd replacement.

Fitted a Odessey battery with the new engine ,the battery it lasted about 15hrs and then died ,not happy where it failed . I was miles from anywhere and no support what so ever . It was a swing start of a O-360 engine ,not easy with the sun going down and you have 200miles to run . On return and having a winge to my friend about battery failure ,he had a similar experience with his Odessey battery. The aircraft electrics were checked on return and no problems found (my eyes were glued to the amp/volt meter all the way back ). So a concord battery was fitted and all has been good.
I now have been told due to the long storage periods with shipping to my country and not in a fully charged state they start to break down.
