Camlocks for cowling latches

Post by C170U2 »

Can someone point me in the right direction on which camlocks to use on the cowling latches? I read on the 120/140 site to use -15 or -16 but that doesn't make sense with what I see on the spruce website. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/h ... oc2600.php Which ones should I buy?

Thanks for the help!!

I'll be out at the plane tomorrow morning and will take a few photos of my set up.

See this thread. http://www.cessna170.org/forums/viewtop ... cowl+latch

Unfortunately he never gave the lengths he used.

I saw that thread but I was hoping someone would know which one to buy. I'm sick of buying the wrong parts...at least I am amassing a fairly large spare parts collection at this point. You don't understand how many bolts I have ordered directly referencing the parts catalog that have not quite fit. It used to be so easy when we had Sac Skyranch in business. I would just take what I was looking for in and have them match it. I was hoping they would reopen under new ownership but that seems like a pipe dream at this point.

This is the pics of mine.
I didnt have a set of calipers with me to measure the length tho.
I can still grab that if you need it.
