Electronic Ignition?

Post by n2582d »

Electroair has recently obtained an STC for electronic ignition on the O-200. Here's what they say about an STC for the 6 cylinder models:

Wag-Aero and Aircraft Spruce sell Electroair's four cylinder ignition system for 15% less than the price listed on Electroair's website. If similar discounts are available on the 6 cylinder ignition system it would cost around $4675. They claim around one gal/hr. improvement in fuel burn for the 4 cylinder. If one could get 1 gph better with this electronic ignition it would take 827 hours to recoup the initial cost with fuel at $5.65/gal.
