tail wheel air pressure

i am new to the forum and to 170s i just got a 1949 a and would like to know the tire pressure for the rear wheel

35 lbs?

I put 45 in mine before I put everything back together and it looks half flat.
Maybe I need a new gauge.

You are supposed to put 35psi in BOTH halves, most forget to fill the bottom half.

As it turns out, my tire gauge IS bad. I checked it against another one and it was nearly 20 pounds off!
Filled the tire to 35 pounds and it works great.
