Interior Air Vent gromments

Post by rupertjl »

I'm trying to replace the air vent grommets (p/n 0413235) found in the A model PM on page 74-75 figure 40. Cessna wants $170 a piece for them and I need two...I've done the local hw store search, I can't seem to find anything similar in size. I measure the old ones at a 2" ID and a 2 7/8" OD with a 2 1/2" channel diameter and 3/8" thickness. Anybody know a different source for these parts? I probably could use the old ones but after doing all the work to paint the interior metal, it would look like a cow sucker I think...

Thanks!

I'm in the exact spot so if we find them, maybe we can save money with a bulk order.
I'm sure there are a few more out there that need these.

Rubber grommets.com will send you a couple of samples if you call them and tell them you are building something that needs that size. They sent me 6 free samples, I used two and gave the rest away to members here.
