float kit install question

Post by learaviator »

During the process of removing wings, carry through spars and cleaning up some corrosion, i found one od the rear carry through spar blocks with a drill bit sticking out of it. Apparently while drilling the holes through the block for the eyebolt, they misdrilled it and just left it. are their any known instructions for installing floats and drilling these blocks?

I've added AK175-12P "Hoisting Provisions" to the Maintenance Library. It doesn't include the C-170 in the "Models Affected" list but does include the early model C-172. It should be "acceptable data" for a major alteration I would think.
