Indicated Air Speed Error

Post by Onewinglo »

Guys I think my indicated air speed is a bit low. Is the airspeed indicator tested for accuracy during the static system check?
Thanks,

No, they only check the static system, but here's a way of checking it yourself:

Any chance someone could post a picture of the pitot bend profile?

From what I can see in the online IPC I'm using, once I disconnect the pressure line from the airspeed indicator I can blow it clear with pressurized air. It appears all other instruments are downstream of the ASI. Is this correct?

Thanks.

Probably. I would still have to eye the line to insure it was going directly back out to the pitot before I blew anything through it. Just me.

In the manual stated above. Page 16-9. Figure 16-3. I've attempted to attach the page, but its too large. I re-bent mine to match after wing cover issues. I think it worked well.
