Just thought I would post the solution I came up with about 25 years ago for the cowling issues with Avcon conversions. I looked through my paperwork but did not find a 337 but do remember the FAA inspector agreed it was far better. I know I can get a 337 now and pass it on. I can also measure it and post but a cardboard template works fine. The 4 cylinder engine like any still shakes but not being attached to cowl solid or with that crummy scat hose does not damage cowling
Bonus...cowling comes off and on easily
