Starter Cable

C 170B 0 300

Cleaned the big cable ring lug leading at StarterMotor. Noticed a smaller wire at same terminal stud. cleaned it too.

Cannot locate the small cable in the parts book. What is it and where does it lead too?

That cable, wire #12 in the IPC wire schematic for a '54, should be a 10 awg wire which goes to your amp meter in the instrument panel and from there to the buss bar.

It is the positive power feed from your battery to that buss.
