Airbox Repair Cont'd

Some discussion indicated instead of replacing the bearings for the carb heat shaft, that one could put brass bushings in (the old bearings I presume). Anyone done that? If so where do the bushings come from and what is the procedure for installing them? Just looking at options and how to do them.
