SAIB CE-19-13

Post by GAHorn »

The following was rec’d from FAA as a Special Airworthiness Information Bulletin (SAIB) regarding corrosion of flight control cable staged turnbuckles. These are common to airplanes such as ours. The problem is corrosion of those fittings that lead to fracture/failure and possible loss of control. If your flight control cables have not been replaced in the last 15 years FAA considers this a higher than normal risk. Download and read CE-19-13
