LANDING GEARBOX REPAIR

Post by bertibub »

Okay guys more difficult questions someone will know the answer to.
We have started the strip to repair our undercarriage gearbox on a 170A
The inboard U/C brackets will be replaced with a PPonk beefup kit.We will use P Ponk items ppa-1201and psk-1101.
We are trying to find parts for the repair and the old faithful Cessnaparts.com can't come up with some parts
We need the following assy L/H item 42 0511495-34 & R/H item 46 0511495-35. If assys for above not available breakdown of parts is (from figure20 page 34 and listing page 35 inparts manual) ;-
Cessnaparts.com has item 47 R/H -0511495-7
but not item 43 brkt L/H -0511495-6
2 x item 44 angle upper -0511495 -8
2 x item 45 angle lower -0511495- 9

The question is can we use the equivalent parts from a 180 as they look similar in the parts manual but have different parts numbers and are available. Alternative source of parts an option. HELP :?
Thanks you guys in anticipation

One of the knowlegeable folks in this field is Steve Knopp (Pponk owner). I'll bet he can answer the question AND help supply the parts. http://www.pponk.com/

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)
