Does anyone have info on an STC to replace an 0-300 with a 0-360 or I0-360 in a 1960 C-172A? Yes I know it's not a 170 but it has the same engine which I'll put up for sale here if it works out.

Well Marc…. I realize you asked about a 172-A. The Air Plains folks have the STC and perform the conversion of an O-360 or IO-360 (Lycoming) into the 172 B and C (and others). It’s probably not listed for the “A’’ because no one asked for it. Chances are they can get approval for your airplane,… have you contacted them?
OR…are you wanting the Contenental engine…which can go by the same nomenclature “IO-360”…??

If you are meaning the Continental engine…you might give Tailwheel Tom a call…. but be sitting down when you check the prices. It’s rumored he is hoping to retire on this conversion.

Marc,
Here's a couple of links for you to research:
Stoots IO-370
Del-Air's O-360
Kenmore Air Harbor.
Here's their website.
Avcon. Search terms such as "Williams", "Avcon", and "Udall" on this website. A lot of information can be found here regarding this STC.
