Tail wheel Bracket U-Bolt Needed

Post by 4-Shipp »

I need the U bolt that fits around the tailwheel bracket and leaf springs. Cessnaparts.com says it is a made-to-order part and they are getting a quote from Cessna (don't want to even know). Preffered airparts does not have it. Any other suggestions for sources or salvage yards will be appreciated.Thanks.

Oh yea, part number 0510000-31, index #6, , pp 54 of the IPC

Bruce, that part from Cessna is outrageously overpriced. You could use a couple of u-shaped channels and two long AN bolts/nuts and accomplish the same effect for pennies.
But if you want the genuine part, I have one in stock for a silly (compared to Cessna) price difference. I also remember where I bought it and will gladly share the info to you since you are a friend and a TIC170A member.
check your pm's.

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)
