Mag switch rebuild?
My original mag switch is failing to ground and I was wondering if anyone here has ever taken one apart and rebuilt it. I still have a factory switch which is keyed the same as my doors and I kind of hate to just throw a new one from Bendix in. Bill K

I re read my post and see that it was not really clear. I actually have the Bendix to use as a repacement for my original (manufacturer unknown) switch. I was trying to avoid installing the new Bendix switch because my old mag switch was keyed the same as my doors. That said the actual Keyed part is seperate from the mag switch so any original mag switch from an original 48 170 will work. I know looking for an original switch is a long shot but I had to give it a try as I have a very original 170 and I am trying to keep it that way as much as possible. Thanks for your help guys. Bill this is not as difficult as it might first appear. Any qualified locksmith can adjust your switch to your key. If possible, take both switches to your locksmith so he can swap the tumblers.
